These are the qualities I look for in a smartphone, otherwise I think it is trash.

• NFC
• Infrared
• GPS, proper GPS
• Gyro sensor
• Latest version of Android, if Android device
• 3.5mm jack (not crucial)
• Released in the last 1 year
